Most Cliché Tourist Things To Do: Baguio City

So I haven't been blogging for a while. Somehow I preferred to expose my thoughts in another, more restrictive (140 characters long restrictive), social media site. Yes, twitter. But I'm back! Not like a lot of people read this but you know, when I'm old and grey and can still read... it's nice to look back and laugh about the silly things I write and think "Did I really say that? What was I thinking?" Well anyway, after 123908473523490581 eons, I'm finally writing about our trip to Baguio!

It's 5 in the morning and we boarded the bus headed to Baguio with just a little cash and absolutely no plan at all of what we're going to do... So once we got there, we decided to do all those cliché tourist-y things you "had" to do in Baguio!

1. Hang out in Burnham Park and take a boat ride around the lake

Letting someone else do the work

Futile attempt at rowing the boat

Completely blocking the fountain we were posing with

2. Ghost hunt at the abandoned Diplomat Hotel

We just got out the taxi during the foggiest day in Baguio and we chose to werq it

Wide shot!

Pretending to be haunted while not-posing posing

Walking around the side peering into closed off windows

In front of the hotel entrance

3. Visit the BenCab Museum, ogle at the masterpieces, then fangirl over meeting him

Outside the museum

Erotica Collection

Contemporary Art Collection

Meeting the man himself!
4. Go to Mines View Park and fail miserably because it was under renovation hence take a photo with an unsuspecting St. Bernard instead

Wishing well (?)

One day I will have my own very very fluffy St. Bernard puppy :3

4. Shop in the morning.... shop at night..... shop the whole day long :D (PS food tripping is included ehehe)

Glow in the dark boots make me happy :)

Souvenir hunt!

Dinner in the streets like a boss

Even more souvenir shopping aka Good Shepherd Ube Jam <3 i="">
And many many more undocumented random adventures with these three coconuts. Where are we headed next? Stay tuned for the Most Cliché Tourist Things To Do Series! :D

Counterproductivity at its best!

Bonjour! So how have your summers been? Mine is a dwindling mix of procrastination and counterproductivity. :D

And it kinda started out like this...

Our family went on a Holy Week getaway at Canyon Cove in Batangas. And as per tradition, we had breakfast at Pancake House. :D I'm not really sure why we keep going and ordering the same exact thing but we do. :)

So anyway, after a few hours of driving, or in my case, blasting my ears with illegally downloaded albums, we finally get to the hotel. Yipee! And since all the cool kids are cool, we stayed in one room. Yes, I am still in doubt about how exactly I survived that fiasco. First and formost, I'm stuck in a tiny room that has just ONE bathroom with two teenage boys with phone attachment issues, two little boys who are under a constant cloud of war, and a not so little girl who might just be my twin from another mother. =)) So I think it must be divine intervention or else I wouldn't be here blogging about it a week later. :D And this is proof!

So this is us. The cool kids. With me, holding the camera TRYING to take a decent shadow picture
This is the view when you look to the left from our room. They were prettier through my eyes last night but the camera refuses to cooperate....
And this is the view directly outside our window. Forgive me if it's kinda foggy. I forgot to clean the lens and this was early morning so...

And this is me once again TRYING to take a decent nature shot. is it passable? =))
Macro shot of my slippers in the sand? Forgive me. It is part of thy bucket list to take up photography, and one that doesn't involve thyself (all the time) :D
So this is embarassing.... The clothes I slept in  the night before bwahahaha! Morning stroll on the beach! :)
'Course pictures of the pool are pretty but swimming in it is much  better, for the most part =))
So it's late afternoon and we're just chilling at the beach like cool kids
It's our last day on the beach so I decided to take on sand sculpting (if such a thing even existed) Whatcha think of my mermaid? Ain't she a beauty? :D

And when the day is nearing its end, we must inevitably take sunset photos because it looks pretty cool. :D
After a few days of the beach, the pool, the people, and the endless heat, we're finally back in the city and we didn't let a day go by without watching the latest to-die-for chick flick, The Host by Stephanie Meyer! I haven't read the book (surprising, I know) but I can assure you, the movie is so worth it. :D

I might just be the dorkiest dork for keeping tickets :D
Actually, I am still at war with myself who is more swoon-worthy - Zac Efron's look-a-like or Percy Jackson's nemesis. (Meh. In the end, Jake Abel aka Percy Jackson's nemesis always wins teehee!) And I can't believe that I didn't recognize the leading actress sooner but she's actually the girl in The Lovely Bones (Another lovely movie, but an ever more fantastic book). She looked SO different as a blonde and as a brunette (or my eyesight must be getting poorer by the day).

While we were positively swooning over The Host, one little boy was out on an Easter Egg Hunt and he brought back a completely white, completely bare, and completely in need of a make-over paper mache egg! Well, we all know what happened after one big sister saw the opportunity and got crafty... The pencil got to working, the eraser starter erasing, and all the colored markers went flying! And the final outcome is now here for all your eyes to see :

So how're you guys liking my egg? Colorful? Wild? Crazy? Flamboyant? :D I know I kinda went over the top but hey, it's Easter and it's an Easter egg so.... Sorry, I'm not sorry. :P

After all this hullabaloo is over, I went back to my first love. Yes, books. :D As of the moment, I have read 2 out of the 4 Beautiful Creatures novels (which is a very interesting movie, and per usual an even more exciting book!)

Then off to my second love, movies. :D I felt like such a girl after devouring all of these movies on a movie  rampage. =)) First, I watched Ever After starring Drew Barrymore. Afterwards, I watched Mamma Mia for the first time EVER. I know. I have been living under the rock. Move on people. Then there was the Cinderella trilogy where I watched Cinderella 3 for the very first time EVER AGAIN and it was pretty cool I must say. And finally, there was    Pride and Prejudice. OM I love Kiera Knightly but Mr. Dancy's eyes are much more appealing. (sarreh gurl!)

And now, off to my next adventure, Cebu and Bohol! No I'm not there yet.... Unluckily, our flight got moved from 1:30 to 6:30 and now I'm stuck in the airport impatiently waiting so I decided to update my blog hahaha! Don't blame me, I have a LOT of time to kill. As of the moment, about 2 hours' worth.... Which explains the awfully long and wordy entry. :D But it's alright isn't it? After all, what better way to pass the time than to consciously release one's thoughts into cyberspace? =)) But anyway, while passing the time, I drew something (close your mouths guys, no need to be THAT surprised. I can draw a tad bit too ya'know). Let me know what you think about my drawing and editing skills (if there are any). Am I as bad as I think? =))

Well, c'est la vie! Till next time guys! I'll leave you to your lives while I take on my current adventure aka 101 Ways of How Not To Die of Boredom in an Airport. :D

Summer?

Rumor has it that Health Sciences majors party the hardest. You wouldn't actually believe these rumors if you've met a Health Sci major in class - the nerdy, grade-conscious type you'd think was completely harmless and naive about the world around them. That just goes to show that you've never partied with one. Imagine a lonely animal trapped in a box with just books and LOTS of coffee. Finally after a long long long long while, you decided to let the animal out. Well, that animal will surely not stick around and read some more...

They start out sorta like this. Seems normal as normal goes. (Oh who am I kidding. I am a far cry from normal but let's just say that I am normal for a minute and I am the trapped animal :P)

So after a few spiked drinks, good music, great friends, and the excitement and anticipation for the start of summer, the animal goes rogue and parties.....

Another wild animal got dragged into the rampage!
And parties.....

Oh look! Another wild animal got caught in the party spell!
And parties...

Looks like the wild animal is starting to get tired.... Sweat indicators!
And parties some more!

wild animal overload!!!!
And once a Health Sciences major is thoroughly partied out... it's favorite go to place is a 24-hour open McDonald's for some fries! (Not even kidding, this always happens)

Uh-huh
And now I officially dub this summer officially STARTED!!!! Cheers to 3 weeks of freedom and all out YOLO-ing :)

Abientot!

Day 30 30 x 30 Remix

YEYYYYY! It's the last day of my 30 x 30 remix and I have successfully completed it!!!! :D

blue baseball shirt + purple skirt + chucks slim

Don't worry! I'll still post pictures here. :) You can also check out my lookbook.nu account! I'm going to start posting there since I'm not doing the 30 x 30 remix anymore. :)

Day 29 30 x 30 Remix

Today, I baked a 3-tiered chocolate cake with chocolate ganache and mini mallows between layers and a chocolate frosting on top. Kinda messy but I had a blast making it. P.S. I havne't tasted anything chocolatey-er. :D

Back to what I wore: pink lace top + tan pants + pink flats + feather earrings
